Amino acids

Amino acids - An Overview

Amino acids build up protein and have numerous benefits like supporting health and growth, as well as optimizing minerals and vitamins. Amino acid supplements are used by bodybuilders to increase the muscular mass in their bodies. Muscle building using amino acid supplements can be very beneficial to reach certain goals in your bodybuilding experience.

The human body can’t produce amino acids. We only get them from the food supplies, so, unless we have a really balanced diet that includes foods containing the essential amino acids, it’s highly likely that we don’t benefit of their advantages on the muscular mass.If you wish to build a solid muscular mass, don’t forget to include amino acid supplements in your diet as amino acids are basically creating blocks of protein that lead to an increased muscular building.

There are about 20 to 22 standard amino acids, but only 8 of them are important. You need them in order to function properly and have a great shape and health. It’s highly recommendable to know many details about these amino acids before taking supplements to include them in your diet.

The 8 important amino acids are the following:

Histidine

It produces white and red cells and supports the growth of tissue. It also helps against radiation and removes the excess heavy metals from the body.

Lysine

It improves calcium absorption, which leads to muscle and body growth. It also mobilizes fat. It’s needed to create hormones (such as testosterone), collagen, antibodies and repairs the tissues.

Phenylalanine

It stimulates the nervous system so you’ll benefit of an increased motivation due to this amino acid. On the other hand, it supports memory. Phenylalanine is not recommended to be used on the long-term due to controversies regarding its toxicity levels

Methionine

It’s a key to eliminate fat and heavy metals such as iron. It’s a great anti-oxidant, fighting against free radicals. It’s essential for energy production and muscle development as well.

BCAAs (Branched Chain amino acids)

It consist of isoleucine, leucine and valine and are always taken together. They are considered to be the most effective in the building, improvement and repair of the muscle tissues. BCAAs are medically proven to fight against protein deficiency effects like fatigue, depression or dizziness. They are also used to support the recovery of burn victims.
